No, the hire charge starts when the staff arrive.
The staff will arrive 30 minutes before your guests to set up the bar.
It includes the use of our facilities and bar staff.
The Bar staff will tidy up during the evening and after your event.
If Security is required it's the hirers responsibility.
You can have access on the day to decorate. You are responsible for letting in outside caterers and DJ/Bands.
You can but we don't allow Sellotape or Bluetac on the wallpaper.
We don't have a P.A. The Club has a music system with an amp and speakers, this is compatible with a laptop or iPod.
We have a selection of real ales by the bottle, however if you wanted a barrel we can source it and have it ready for your event. There is an up-front charge for this, but we can re-sell to your guests and repay you for the pints sold.
Yes and we can give you a running total.
Or you can pre-pay for beer tokens to give your guests.
You can pay by cash, cheque, bank transfer or credit card.
We do accept all major debit and credit cards.
We don't but can recommend DJ's and bands.
Yes you are welcome to provide your own food.
You are welcome to bring own drinks in for a welcome drink, we will provide flutes and serve your guests on arrival. The charge for this is £3.50 per bottle.
Maximum 12 Bottles.
No, we do not hire to under 18 year olds, however we will consider family parties at the discretion of the Bookings Manager.
Yes, parking is unrestricted in the Embankment, except for match on days.
The venue is on the first floor and accessed by stairs only, therefore is not suitable for wheelchairs or people with reduced mobility.
Viewing of the Club
The Club may be viewed prior to booking by visiting the premises on Saturday or Sunday mornings 09.00 – 12.00 for informal viewings and at other times by arrangement.

The Bar area alone, can accommodate 50/60 people. Together with the Hall area the Boat Club is ideal for 100-250 people.
The Club does not cater for 18th or 21st birthday parties. It is at the discretion of the Club to agree to a booking. If during any event there is any suspicion of underage drinking or drug use, the bar will be immediately closed down and the event finished. Security for the purpose of each booking is the responsibility of the hirer together with the cost of any damage caused.
